INTRO TO BACH FLOWERS

with Duane Law, L.Ac.

B

ach flowers are one of the more intriguing healing toolkits on earth.

They were developed by an early twentieth-century physician, Ed Bach, who was seeking a way to heal chronic physical conditions by healing the emotional knots he felt could be found at the root of many diseases.

I haven’t seen that work myself. What I have seen is the way they arrange synchronistic events … weird coincidences … that appear to help someone address dynamics in the world around them reinforcing those chronic dysfunctional ways of relating to self and others. We all have them.

What they don’t do is make one feel drugged, like taking a stiff drink, a joint, or an antidepressant pill. So there’s a lot of folks out there who’ve tried them and decided they didn’t work.

The effects are instead subtle and easy-to-miss. Someone wakes up one morning and has a brilliant insight that allows them to move past an old block. Another meets a stranger that just happens to have the missing piece of a life puzzle they’ve been trying to solve for years. Another finds opportunities begin to appear out of nowhere where years of struggle haven’t produced any results.

These are the kinds of experiences that religious people pray for. Bach flowers bring them into being.

But there’s always subtleties to master in any healing art. This course presents the best way to take Bach flowers, both to save money and get the most profound effects. The instructor draws from decades of experience using the flowers to reliably produce breakthroughs, if not in physical disease like Bach wanted, but in those aspects of life which keep us stuck, anxious and depressed, falling short of our full potential.

I’ll walk a few participants through the self-directed process the instructor uses to help clients choose the right flowers for themselves. Not only does this build client agency and buy-in, but it also offers a degree of protection against scope of practice concerns.
